WHAT IS XPLORER REWARDS?
Xplorer Rewards is our online loyalty program. It is our way of thanking you, our customer, by rewarding you with points for each purchase on our online shop. Points are awarded according to the Rand value of your purchases, and your earned points can be redeemed by means of a Rand discount on any future online purchase.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
You will start off on our first tier of Xplorer Rewards membership (Bronze level) which is at 1%. This means that you will earn 1 point for every R100 spent on our online shop. You may choose to redeem earned points against a future purchase, which will be applied by means of a discount on your order, with every 1 available point redeemed equal to R1 discount.
Depending on your total spend on our online shop over a specific period of time, we may move you up to the next membership level (Silver or Gold level) which will earn you more points for every R100 spent.
DO I NEED TO SIGN UP TO THE XPLORER REWARDS PROGRAM?
No, you do not need to opt-in to the Xplorer Rewards program. All customers who purchase from our online store will automatically be part of our rewards program.
HOW DO I EARN POINTS?
Xplorer Rewards Points will be automatically calculated by our online store on a per-product basis according to the Rand value of your order and will be automatically reflect in your total points balance after successful payment of your order.
WHATS ARE THE TIER LEVELS?
The Tier levels are determined by your annual spend. As your spend increases you can move up a level and begin to earn more points. You will earn the percentage points based on your tier. Once you move up, you will start to earn higher points from your next purchase.

Your total spend is calculated over a 12 month period, starting June 1st 2022 until May 31st 2023. At the end of this 12 month period, your total spend will be calculated and you will remain at this level for the next 12 month period. At the start of each new year (June 1st) you will start from R0.00 spend again.
At the end of this 2nd year period your spend will be recalculated and your tier levels will be revised accordingly.
Ie, If you spend less in year 2 you will drop a tier level in the following year according to your spend in year 2.
HOW DO I REDEEM POINTS?
You may choose to redeem Xplorer Rewards Points against a future purchase on our online store on the Cart or Checkout page. Your total available points will be shown and you may specify how many points from your total points balance you would like to redeem against that purchase.
HOW DO I CHECK MY POINTS BALANCE?
You may check your current Xplorer Rewards Points balance by logging in to our online store. Go to “My Account” and then view your balance under the “Rewards Points” link.
DO POINTS EXPIRE?
Yes, any earned Xplorer Rewards points expire after 6 months, if not redeemed against a future purchase. This means that if you do not redeem your points within 6 months of earning them, you will forfeit those points and they will be removed from your account. We will send you an email reminder before your points expire so that you get the opportunity to redeem them against a purchase before the expiry date.
XPLORER REWARDS TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Points can only be earned and redeemed on our online store at xplorerflyfishing.co.za and not at our retail store.
- Points may only be redeemed as a discount against future purchases on our online store and will not be exchanged or redeemed for cash, vouchers or credit.
- Earned points are assigned only to your account on our online store and may not be transferred or gifted to any other person or account.
- If you have purchased from us previously on our online store, points will not be assigned retroactively to your previous orders. You will only begin earning points from your next online order with us, and all future orders, after the launch date of the Xplorer Rewards Program.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO :
- Change the points earning structure for any products or categories of products as part of any sale, promotion or campaign at any time
- Change the earning structure of points for any membership level at any time
- Change the membership level of any customer by either moving them up or down a level at any time
- Revoke a customer’s membership to the Xplorer Rewards altogether at any time
- Withdraw, suspend or terminate the Xplorer Rewards program altogether at any time without any obligation to honour existing earned points
