BACKCOUNTRY FLY RODS

The Backcountry fly rod is an entry level 100% graphite fly rod, available in a 8′0″ 5/6wt. It is sold on it own or as a combo, a good value starter rod.

These Die-cast fly reels have a large arbor design with a rear adjusting drag knob. They have a strong and smooth, enclosed cork disc drag system. The STX fly reels are available in a 2/3wt, 5/7wt and 7/9wt models with spare spools available.

The XP Fly Reels are a reliable die-cast aluminum fly reel. They have a large arbor spool design with a smooth, offset disc drag system. The drag is adjusted from the rear and has a counter balanced spool. They have a matte black finish, available in two sizes, XP 2/3wt and XP 4/6wt. Spare spool available.

These next generation fly reels have been designed for specific freshwater applications. These super light weight fly reels have a large arbor to maximize the line retrieval and they are CNC machined from T-6061 aerospace aluminum.

The #001 Eclipse reel has a light adjusting drag system, that is ideal for small steam use on 1wt to 3wt rods. The #002 has a smooth, enclosed cork disk drag with a one way bearing anti reverse system. This is designed for large streams and still waters on 4wt to 5wt outfits. The #003 Cartridge- This new #003 combines the best machined large arbor reel with a spare cartridge system. It comes with an extra cartridge, and is ideal for large still waters or for Yellows on the Vaal river. It’s rated for 6wt to 7wt outfits. The #003 has an enclosed cork disk drag with a one way bearing anti reverse system. Available in Matt Black.
